Data Purge on /scratch1

Posted on May 02, 2024 by Dani Cannella

0.0.0.1 CARC will be performing a data purge on /scratch1 during the next maintenance period.

The Center for Advanced Research Computing (CARC) will be conducting a data purge on /scratch1 during the next maintenance period on the weekend of May 24th. /scratch1 has been consistently close to its capacity limit, so CARC needs to perform this data purge in order to reduce capacity and improve performance.

Please back up any files you do not wish to lose as soon as possible. For instructions on transferring your data, please see CARC’s file transfer user guides.

As a reminder, the /scratch1 file system is intended only for temporary and intermediate data storage, not for long-term storage. The majority of your data should be stored in your /project directory.
